Aoife Flieder
Aoife Flieder holds an MFA in Poetry from the University of Oregon, where she taught English and Creative Writing from 2022 to 2024. Before her graduate studies, she trained as a classical musician and earned a Bachelor of Music from the Eastman School of Music.
Originally from Portland, Oregon, Aoife now lives in Dayton with her husband, and is excited to share her love of literature within a school community rooted in the Catholic Faith. She was received into the Church as an adult, taking her confirmation name from Therese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face.
Dr. Eric Lafferty
Dr. Lafferty teaches Theology, Philosophy, and History. He has great love for the history of the Catholic Church and Marian devotion. Received into the Church in 2010, he has since completed a Ph.D. in Systematic Theology at Duquesne University, a M.A. in Historical Theology at Saint Louis University, and a M.A. in Catholic Studies at the University of St. Thomas. He also holds a B.S. in Computer Science. Dr. Lafferty has previously taught Scripture and theology courses to undergraduates and is excited to be part of a community that integrates learning and the Faith.
Benjamin Sisson
Ben Sisson studied Wildlife Biology at Montana State University, where he met his wife, Kayla, experienced a reversion to the faith, and worked on several ecological studies before serving as an Army Officer in Alaska. After leaving active duty, Ben pursued a M.A. in Theological Studies through Christendom College and now serves in the Army Reserve. He is working on a M.S. in Environmental Science at the University of Dayton while Kayla completes her General Surgery residency with the Air Force. Ben enjoys anything outdoors, reading, and especially, sharing the Catholic faith.
